Reflection
1. Evalution:
What are the good/strong parts of your painting? What is done well? Why?
- I believe the good and strong parts of my painting is the texture and color. I think that because her fur is very fluffy looking and her color has a good variation of the colors.
2. Evaulate:
What do you think you could have done better on this project? Why?
- I wish I would have worked at a better pace so it would be done on time. I also wanted to do the background first so I would have it done.
3. Analyze the attributes of your theme/unity:
What is the theme that you created and how did you do so? Why did you choose that theme?
-
4. Analyze your use of emphasis:
What parts of your painting stand out most to you? How did you get those areas to stand out or be dominant?
- The cat and the tarp she is sitting on. I think I got them to stand out because of the size of the cat and the color of blue of the tarp. I think the color also applies to the cat.
5. Analyze yur use of movement:
How do your eyes move around the painting to the different points of emphasis? What do you notice first, second and third? Predict the order that you think others will view the different points of emphasis.
- I first notice the car, I secondly notice the tarp and lastly notice the background. I believe others will notice the different points the same way.
6. Metacognate (think about thinking!):
What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Why?
- I learned that oil painting takes a while to get done for myself. I should learn to organize my time better because I am such a procatinator.
7. Evaluate the design of your painting:
Why did you do it the way you did? Was it planned? What is by chance? Did it turn out the way you thought it would in the beginning - why or why not? Elaborate...
- I did it the way I did because of the picture I used. Most was planned like the way things were placed but the colors were different and the texture was too.
8. Evaluate this project:
Is this a worthwhile project? What do you think about this material? What should Mr. Purdy do to this project in the futre to make it even better? Why?
- I think this is a worthwhile project, the material was difficult, but you only learn more by expierience.
